The Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association
has opened a satellite sales
office in Chicago at 200 N.
Dearborn. Dustin Arnheim,
national sales manager, will work to
attract business to Indianapolis from
national associations and other organizations based in and around Chicago. Prior
to joining the ICVA, Arnheim worked at
the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis as associate director of sales.
The
Indianapolis
Marriott
Downtown,
the city’s
largest
hotel, has
completed a
$9.5 million
renovation.
The hotel
now features 622
restyled guest rooms. The multi-phase
renovation entailed 118 guest rooms
being renovated at a time and the conversion of seven hospitality suites into 14
double bedrooms. Final configurations
include 386 double bedrooms and 215
king bedrooms and 21 suites. The project
marks the property’s first renovation since
the hotel opened in 2001.
