Demand Higher
for HR Execs
The hiring of human resource executives
is on the rise, according to new findings in
the Jobfox Top 25 Most Wanted U.S. Job
Candidates: June 2008 rankings. Human
resource executives are now the 25th
most-wanted professionals. Recruiting/
staffing professionals ranked 24th.
“There are still many bright spots, even
in the face of an uncertain economy,” says
Rob McGovern, CEO of Jobfox ( www.job-fox.com). “Most companies continue to
place a premium on the recruitment and
retention of qualified professionals. There
will be layoffs, but most companies are
depending on human resource managers
to keep talent losses to a minimum. And
many companies continue to aggressively
seek new sources of talent from their
recruiters.”
Amenities
Affect
Perception
Employers who pay attention to niceties
such as pleasing décor, an inviting break
room and comfortable room temperature
are more likely to retain their best people
and improve worker productivity. In a
recent study released by Blumberg Capital
Partners, 80 percent of workers said the
condition of their work environment
affects their perception of their organization, and 33 percent said they’ve actually
left a job or taken a new one based on
“the condition of the building and/or the
amenities offered.”
