The Forum’s Nominating Committee seeks
candidates for nominations for officers
and directors to serve on the 2009-2010
Board of Directors and Foundation Board
of Trustees. Please see Bylaws Article VI
and VII for specifics on these important
positions, terms of office and process. The
bylaws are published at www.associationforum.org. (linked to the “Our Mission”
page under the “About the Forum” tab.)
The following positions are open for
nomination:
• Chair-Elect: One-year term, with automatic succession to Chair of the Board
in 2010-2011.
• Secretary-Treasurer: One-year term.
• Regular Member Directors: Two, three-year terms for 2009-2012.
• Supplier Partner Member Director (
Hospitality Sector): One, two-year term for
2009-2011.

CRITERIA USED FOR NOMINATIONS
Among the criteria that will be considered
are the following:
• leadership and management experience;
• written responses to questions posed in
the application; and
• other considerations that indicate that
a candidate is uniquely qualified to
serve on the board of directors.
The Forum’s mission is to advance the
professional practice of association management with three major long-term goals:
1) Improve the quality of practice of
association management.
2) Enhance the places where association management is practiced.
3) Ensure the freedom to practice association management.
Potential Forum board members are
asked to consider carefully these goals and
respond to them strategically, as well as
offer insight into issues affecting association
management as they complete the nomination form found at www.associationforum
