a large number of unqualified candidates. So you probably
will hear from a number of unqualified candidates and spend
more time screening resumes.
In addition, enterprising search companies who see your job
posting will offer you unsolicited help in locating job candidates
(usually from their resume banks). Most sites on which you post a
listing offer the option to tell these companies you are not
interested in their services; checking the box won’t eliminate
these inquiries but it can reduce the number of companies
who contact you.
Also keep in mind that some of these Web sites charge
hefty fees for their listings so cost may be a factor in your
decision as to which listings you choose. (See above box for
list of some job Web sites and their listing fees).
Professional networking remains as one of the best ways to
find new employees, but online recruiting will continue to
grow in the foreseeable future. As a consequence, savvy association professionals need to master this powerful tool.
