2010 Advocacy: Year in Review
While much attention was focused on the Nov. 2 elec- tion outcomes and the gubernatorial aftermath in
Illinois, little notice may have been paid
to Association Forum’s 2010 public policy
and government relations victories. But
there are several worth noting:

Committee to provide recommendations
for more strategic advocacy activities to
educate, involve, engage and be accessible to more Association Forum members. The board has since approved the
following:
• Sponsor a legislative event for Chi-
cago mayoral candidates. To provide
members with more access to Chica-
go’s mayoral candidates, and to inform
and educate the candidates about
Association Forum and the impact
that associations have on the city, the
committee will host a complimentary
legislative event at the Association
Forum offices for the Chicago mayoral
candidates in winter or spring 2011, in
advance of the primary or general elec-
tion depending on the number of can-
didates and political circumstances.
